You Could Not Ask For More in Baguio City

Baguio City is called the Summer Capital of the Philippines because of its attractive tourist spots, plus the cold weather even during summer. It is usually 8 degrees cooler on any month, than in other places in the country. What makes the place finicky for the tourists is that the popular places to visit are just near with each other that make it accessible to explore the places in Baguio City.

Where to Go

Baguio is known to have a lot of hot spots. One of which is Burnham Park wherein you can enjoy the beauty of nature and colorful flowers around. It also features the man made lagoon perfect for boat rides. In addition to that, Burnham Park offers a perfect place for skating, biking and other sports like basketball and tennis. Another would be, the Mines View Park, where you could see the view of old gold and copper mines of Benguet. Just near to it is the Mansion, which is the President of the Philippines’ summer residence. It features a museum where you could find memorabilia of the former Presidents of the Philippines. Straight across The Mansion is the Wright Park where you can see the landmark of Baguio, which is the “Pool of Pines”. You should never miss to experience riding the horses and ponies at a very affordable price at Wright Parking Riding Circles. Of course, one must visit the most popular place in Baguio, the Camp John Hay. It is called the “Little America” because this is the former place of the American Military for recreational activities. Today, they have built world-class resorts, a perfect place for the tourists to stay. Lastly, a tour in the most popular military school in the Philippines, the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), is a must to complete your holiday experience.

Perfect Time to Visit

If you want to make your visit in Baguio worthy, the perfect time would be in the month of February. This is the time where they celebrate Panagbenga Festival, or the Flower Festival. Summertime, like on the months of April and May, would also be a perfect time to visit Baguio, to experience the fun activities and the distinguishing cold weather.

Baguio City is indeed a good place to visit, especially when you want to enjoy nature, the cold breeze of fresh air, and pine scented wind from the mountains. With the good places to visit plus a good climate to relax, you could not ask for more.
